The eve of Trump 2.0
We’ve seen the soon-to-be Trump administration picks for key positions as they were speaking with the Senators during their confirmation hearings. Let’s be honest as we write these pages of history, the great majority of these picks are problematic and unqualified, but they have two things in common, even if they don’t realize it. Number One, they are all Trump loyalists; and Number Two, they are all very convenient to adversarial regimes such as China or Russia.
The fact is that there has been a systematic failure on providing viable safeguards for America as we approach Trump’s second non-consecutive term. This is true from the Biden White House to the “coequal” branches of government. I’m not sure how many people in the US Congress or their staffers will ever read these words, but as a concerned citizen it is my duty to articulate them once again, before this is no longer possible.
For years, I’ve been writing and talking out loud in any platform I could find about the dangers of authoritarian propaganda. I’ve even reached to the Biden White House more than once and the Biden and Harris presidential campaigns respectively. Each time I shared with them the blind spots that ultimately became their demise as they failed to listen. The Republican party has a problem, if they don’t play along with MAGA they face retribution, and the Democrats problem is that they are often outmaneuvered by MAGA and fail to control the narrative.
If you’re a Left-leaning elected leader, put your ego aside. Whatever you have been doing did not work to prevent Trump from taking office. Why? Because it is very common for Democrats to only listen to the same faces, and this eventually ends up having them talking into corners. There is a lot of wisdom outside the realm of people who don’t seek, nor want clout, but they have their eyes focused on the scene. Sadly, as we try to relay this information to you it often gets stuck with SOMEBODY, likely a staffer, or whomever is the filter who fails to push that information front and center to the scope of your attention.
For example, MAGA was able to prominently amplify the fringe voices on the Right. They were often misinformed, but they were “united.” Meanwhile, Left-leaning outlets and platforms often ignored voices of reason unless they had huge clouts, and even then, the same recycled faces often end up talking (as in present progressive) in circles. It is exceedingly frustrating and hard to get their attention. I know, I’ve tried until finally giving up due to futility.
Despite all this, the Left’s message was that Trump and MAGA were threats to National Security, and the start of authoritarian rule into the USA. We understand that MAGA is onboard with whatever Trump will say, despite the fact one of the largest current tropes is becoming MAGA voter regret as Trump shifted his promises from lowering the price of living into invading other countries with the potential use of military force. Like it or not, we are all stuck in the same boat.
My prediction is that J. D. Vance will push for the 25th Amendment sooner than later as Trump’s post-election policies will likely spark the ire of many MAGA voters who are likely realizing how the prices of their eggs and all related cost of living keep increasing. And the mere fact that the richest people in the country are getting a lot richer while the 99% reminder will have a harder time making ends meet. This will not be easy to hide even to any person who has their head buried in the sand coming February or March 2025.
Several millions of MAGA voters supported Trump in November 2024. The question everybody in Congress should be asking is: Aren’t there any more qualified MAGA voters in the ENTIRE Country than the very small group of people in Trump’s orbit? The transactional nature of Trump’s personality is obvious. In other words, Trump is well-known for expecting “loyalty” over skill. And “loyalty” is a euphemism for being a “yes man or woman.”
At least one senator has said in national television that if Trump says quote: “Jump three feet high and scratch your head” that is exactly what they will do, no questions asked. When the reality is that any valuable member of a team is the one who can SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER. Otherwise, their input is as effective as a decorative artificial house plant. Might “look the part” – but it has no additional added value.

The Insider Threat
There are two types of insider Threats.
1. A Witting Insider Threat. Knowingly sabotages their own team. Which is treason.
2. An Unwitting Insider Threat. They do the same but are too dumb to realize they are doing so.
Both of them are useful and disposable fools for puppet masters. And like it or not, wittingly, or unwittingly, Trump and MAGA are supporting state-sponsored adversarial regimes’ talking points and doctrines. So, the question to every Congress person is: Are you a witting or an unwitting insider threat yourself?
Your answer is irrelevant, your actions are what matters in the end. History is written by the legislative actions you are taking every day. You were elected to represent the United States of America, and if you’re unwittingly representing the interests of a foreign adversary – history will record that too. That will be forever your legacy. A falsehood, no matter how well crafted, the math will never add up. And your actions and inactions will be judged for generations to come.
A few GOP leaders broke ranks with Trump and exercised their power as a coequal branch of government when deemed necessary for the American people during this last government shutdown struggle. In case it was not obvious enough, whenever you’re deciding your legislative vote, you also need to understand the reality and the complexity of geopolitics and ask yourself this question: “HOW IS MY DECISION GOING TO BENEFIT AN ADVERSARIAL REGIME?” – And understand the complexity of unintended consequences. That is why you were elected, for you and your staff to answer those complex questions.
Lastly, a debate is not about finding a “winner” or a “loser” – this legislative vote through party lines has to stop. A debate is meant to fill the blind spots either side has or come up with the best solution for the American People. Hint, the solution is the one that does not support adversarial regimes state-sponsored doctrines. And yes, that means that sometimes your own team might have more blind spots than the other. But the facts are supposed to be logical, measurable, and demonstrable. We are so used to see the political theater, that it is mostly performative and full of conjecture.
Like it or not, the adversarial regimes are winning because YOU are failing. And when you fail, the USA fails. Adversarial dictators utilize your shortcomings as a propaganda tool to show that there are “better options” than the USA. What you do in Congress resonates around the world for better or for worse. I am more than sure that my words will only be a time capsule. But I’ve been imparting these very same lessons for years – Often screaming into a void where only a few thousands of people seem to listen – but not reaching to those people with prominent platforms who need to learn to control the narrative.
Starting tomorrow (by the time I write this), on Monday, January 20, 2025, the world as we know it, will forever change. Trump said openly that he was going to run on retribution. His acolyte picks for the positions evaded these accountability questions already, and many people with a prominent platform bent the knee already, and we know that the next few years won’t be easy for all non-MAGA, and for the lower echelons of MAGA voters – which is the majority.

We are likely about to enter armed conflicts and lose a lot of alliances with our closest partners, and this will give tacit consent for adversarial nations to isolate the USA from the rest of the world. Russian-sponsored TV is already speaking about taking over Greenland and even taking over Alaska. Their “rationale” is… if Trump does it, then why not Russia? And in case it was not obvious, attacking Greenland it is an attack to NATO. Greenland is also part of Denmark, and Denmark is the geographic choke point into the Baltic Sea.
If you cannot make the rest of important geopolitical connections from this starting point, then you’re unqualified to your position. But like it or not, you’re in this juncture of American History. So, you better raise and shine to the challenge and protect the US interests at the level of complexity you are supposed to operate or resign. Whomever is going to be in charge needs to understand geopolitics in an encyclopedic manner.
Final message
I realize that what I am saying might as well be spoken against a wall. But I need to document before I can’t that my words were predictive. Everybody in the media seems reactionary. What we are seeing is a playbook that has been used for millennia, and most certainly during our lifetimes. Most of this authoritarian playbook is well-known abroad. Many Western nations have fallen into authoritarian rule already, even if they don’t realize it.
Authoritarianism is gradual on the onset; it normalizes the bizarre into the unacceptable. This gradual process accelerates exponentially as the authoritarian wanna-be galvanizes their power. But the fact is that authoritarianism is never sustainable. An authoritarian is only as powerful as his or her followers. Which means that if you realize that you were a useful fool for an authoritarian wanna-be, which happens to be also a useful fool himself, then it is up to you to break the cycle. That is why you were elected.
In reality, I am not holding my breath. I’ve seen MAGA repeat Kremlin talking points VERBATIM in the halls of Congress for years, largely unopposed. I’ve seen the pages of American history been written as Senators ask important questions to Trump’s cabinet picks for them to evade the answer by saying “it’s a hypothetical” – YES!!! A cabinet pick needs to UNDERSTAND and THINK about all hypotheticals! Why? Because they supposed to work on complex positions where they are required to RESOLVE issues, and some of those issues might be unprecedented. The mere talking point of evading questions citing they are “hypothetical” is a clear indicator they are Trump’s “yes men and women.”

What they might fail to realize is that they are not just been a “yes man or woman” for Trump… but for adversarial regimes, such as the Kremlin, who directly benefits from their answers. And it is even more startling that these candidates either don’t realize it, or don’t care. Either way, the American people largely feel like they are on their own. Congress members, it is in your hands to prove us right – which would be the incorrect answer, or prove us wrong, which is what you’re supposed to do as an elected leader. HLC
