This is a quick story about Half Life Crisis™.

I had the idea of starting Half Life Crisis™ after visiting friends in Easter Europe back in 2011. Essentially, I was starting a chapter in my life with my new family and -wham! – I got an epiphany. I’m so lucky to live each day to the fullest, yet life moves so freaking fast! Finally, before 2020 came to an end, I got a chance to sit down and upload this project online.

Long story short, I wanted to create a virtual place where I get to share (and rant) about stuff that has worked out for me while trying to live as an adult. I am a lucky guy who shares a domicile with two wonderful ladies (who are generally kind enough to tolerate my shenanigans, as seen in the picture with my daughter).

One of the reason why I created Half Life Crisis™ is because I like to rant, a lot... about all kinds of things I find interesting in exuberant detail.

My writing is style is down-to-Earth, thought-provoking, and often mind-blowing. I am 120% unapologetic about speaking my mind, and everything I say is not by chance. There is a non-zero chance you'll encounter some language blunders. I’ve made my peace with it, I can live with it, and it is after all my website, and my platform, so I won't lose any sleep over it.

But as I said, I do have a wide range of topics that capture my interest. Depending on the topic, these articles might be short and sweet, others will be more elaborated. I don’t like to write “opinions” I like to write assessments, and these serve as a time capsule for those moments the news cycle and click-batting influencers tend to forget when chasing the new shiny object. We also created a Patreon page for articles that are best spoken on that platform. If you go there, you’ll see what I mean.

You will also see guest writers adding articles to our blog, and that is part of our vision - to help expand the literary boundaries that seem so artificially constrained by the industries that have taken an iron grip on it. Here at Half Life Crisis™ we are free from stiff-boards of directors or censors. That said, we never advocate for hateful or divisive rhetoric. We like facts and easter-egg symbology - even on the images!

My daughter Sammy is our main visual artist at Half Life Crisis™ - not surprising this our website and art project. And what better way to showcase's Sammy's artwork than by creating her very own virtual art gallery!

This started as a practical use for our website as we started getting more visitors and attention. Sammy has painted tons of pictures and captured even more photographs. And really, I needed a way to be able to showcase them in a better manner than our original article format.

Sammy's physical original artwork is not for sale because she is still a minor, and I want her to make any decision for what she wants to do with her artwork when she has reached the proper age and consent. It will be her decision for she wants to do with it. But virtual art gallery also gave us an opportunity to showcase other artists who would indeed be open to sell their artwork.

The Sammy Baqueroavarez Art Gallery then became a hub for our Arts Network. The gallery showcases original multimedia art created by air-breathing people (no artificial intelligence art works), and allows visitors the opportunity to contact, commission, or purchase artwork directly from our website. We add new artists every week!

I've released two non-fiction thought-provoking mind-blowing historical assessments on how to defeat authoritarian propaganda before it galvanizes power. These are available worldwide on paperback and eBook formats, and you can also read them in our Patreon page.

I completed four manuscripts while assigned to USS COLE DDG-64 during her deployment and operational assignments, whenever I had some down time. Writing is therapeutic for me, and this allows me to center the millions of thoughts that are constantly tumbling inside my head.

I've decided to use my company BeeZee Vision, LLC™ to publish our books, because publishers (who shall remain unnamed) wanted to get not only the rights, but also change some of the context on the books. I decided that I was going to keep true to my words, and hence I published them on my own. I stand-by that decision. My books have hundreds of Easter-eggs hidden on every page to include the covers.

These are books unlike anything you’ve ever read, because I am not constrained by certain arbitrary paradigms that other authors might have to content with their manuscripts. I'll be announcing also on our social media when we release our third book!

I had the idea of developing the Half Life Crisis™ Art Network in March 2024. I wanted to create a database of talented artists from every multimedia discipline imaginable. You know, like the most awesome arts team. I've been lucky to meet so many talented artists throughout my life. And this is my gift to them. I wanted to give them a consolidated way to showcase their talent, and help them network with other artists and art lovers.

Sadly, few things are more common than exceedingly talented artists who are not been fully appreciated. I had an epiphany from late 2023 into 2024 as I published my books - I saw firsthand a myriad of predatory opportunists who were looking to exploit talent. I spoke with many artists, and this was sadly not a bug on the system, but really a feature. The HLC Arts Network is my way to do something about it.

Every artists featured I our Arts Network are somebody I personally met at some point in my life, and are somebody whom I appreciate their talent. The Half Life Crisis Arts Network allows visitors follow our featured artists on their official social media platforms, or even email them directly. Each artist has a Half Life Crisis™ landing page, at least one introductory article, and depending on their craft a dedicated exhibit page. All artists are air-breathing people, we do not feature artificial intelligence art. We only feature original art.

My wife Alicia is kind enough to tolerate the many shenanigans Sammy and I perform because of Half Life Crisis™. Unsurprisingly, my daughter inherited a lot of my wife's artistic and personality traits. There is two of them, and one of me... and I could not be happier.

Alicia was a huge supporter of Half Life Crisis™ from the very start, and was happy that this was our daughter-dad art project. As time moved forward and Half Life Crisis™ evolved, Alicia requested her own little corner on our site. So we sat down, created her logo and identity together, and published it. Alicia still wants Sammy and me to do our own thing - but once in a while Alicia likes to share her wisdom and insight. After all, by that time we’ve have already created the Half Life Crisis Arts Network, and Alicia is also a talented artist herself, and has her own landing page.

But there is also a lot more to Alicia. She is not only super cool to be around, she is also very funny - even if she does not intend the later. Her articles and content is heartwarming, and she also provides very good professional advice on her areas of expertise. This is includes very important and relevant guidelines for US Navy Veterans. Alicia is a retired US Navy Chief, and she has encyclopedic knowledge on a bunch of things that are extremely important, but that for some reason are too confusing to many to grasp (like me). Somehow, she is able to make all that gigantic level of paperwork very easy and manageable.

As the geopolitical situation continued to deteriorate, I've been writing about it in detail. Some of that is actually what prompted me to write my books Authoritarianism & Propaganda the Puppet Master Tools, and Woke & Proud the Charlatans' Inconvenience. I wrote these books because nothing that has occurred in the last several years has surprised me. And I want to do what I can to prevent it from getting worse.

There is a formula to understand Authoritarian Propaganda, but the equation is both complex, and requires high levels of context and attention to detail. Through my articles in Half Life Crisis™ I've been addressing a lot of those topics both in long and short format articles, and that included also interactions via social media outlets, and any other platform I could find.

Because of the urgency of the matter, this topic started to take too much bandwidth on what Half Life Crisis™ was supposed to be originally. Hence, I decided to segment it in a way that I can focus Half Life Crisis™ on Literature and Art as it was originally intended. Although I will still write about geopolitical topics of interest in Half Life Crisis™, it made a lot more sense to create a dedicated platform to fully address those subjects. That is why Info in Context™ has its own dedicated website & social media platforms.

Every artists in the Half Life Crisis Arts Network has a spot in the BeeZee Vision, LLC™ Arts Gallery. The difference is that for the Samantha Baqueroalvarez Art Gallery, there is no out-of-pocket cost to the artists.

All artists’ profiles in good standing featured in the BeeZee Vision, LLC™ Arts Gallery remain on our website, regardless if their exhibit remains featured under our network. This allows visitors to commission the artists, follow them on social media, and know more about them directly from our page, virtually forever, a one-time cost!

BeeZee Vision, LLC™ Arts Gallery allows artists to “rent” a web page for a pre-determined amount of time where they can showcase, and sell their artwork, or use it as a networking tool, use it to mirror an existing exhibit, or for commissioning art services. This is very similar as the manner artwork is showcased at the Samantha Baqueroalvarez Art Gallery. A main difference is that artists featured under BeeZee Vision, LLC™ Art Gallery can further customize exhibit page or pages for additional web development costs.

Artists under the Half Life Crisis Arts Network do not have to pay rent for their art exhibits.
