The country is either elated or devastated due to Trump’s victory. Elections have good or bad consequences. Today I explore indicators to measure all that.
Will Trump drive us into fascism?
Many of Trump’s opponents, to include former members of his own cabinet, and even his former Vice President Mike Pence stated on record not only unflattering things to say about Trump as a person, but they went out of their way to say he was a danger to our National Security. This sentiment was echoed by pretty much anybody else who had some sort of relationship with Trump in the last few decades… who for one way or the other they fell off his orbit.
There are literally truckloads of evidence about criminal conduct and questionable behaviors on every wedge issue affecting America where Trump’s words have played a polarizing role. Regardless of whether you agree with his positions or not, the fact is that his words cause a division between MAGA and non-MAGA, which happens to include a bunch of actual Republicans, Independents, and Democrats.
Despite all this on November 5, 2024, Trump won by a landslide in the country. For the first time since he has ever run for President, he won the popular vote as well as the electoral college. In 2020 Trump lost both the popular vote and the electoral college. So, what happened? Well, a lot, actually. But whatever the case, Kamala Harris conceded her loss and started the process of turning over the Biden-Harris presidency to Trump. However, in 2020 when Trump lost, he did not help with the transition towards Biden – according to official historical records.
Trump never conceded for 2020, and three out his four criminal cases at the Federal level were linked to that very issue and add J6 as the reason for his second Impeachment. Yet Trump accepted 2024 with no hesitation the results of the election that favored him. Unlike 2020, there were no riots on the streets and countless lawsuits by the left or by Kamala Harris herself – as it was the case with MAGA and Trump, although the sadness is palpable. Yet the Biden administration is being tremendously accommodating to Trump’s team. Do you see the difference? Does it even matter?
On his third day after his electoral victory, Trump had a non-televised interview where he stated that his mass deportation plan “has no price tag limit.” In other words, he will spend as much taxpayer money as he wants in order to deport a bunch of people as soon as he gets in office. He is also planning on giving a new tax break to the ultra-rich folks. Which by the way, means less money coming into the national coffers.
And yes, undocumented immigrants actually do pay taxes, because it gets discounted from their paycheck, they just don’t get to use that money. So, that means even less money coming into the national coffers (more deficit or cut budgets elsewhere). So, mark my words, a lot of social programs such as social security and Medicare & Medicaid are likely going to be slashed. Marck my words, hopefully you’re not depending on those. And if you’re ultra-rich, you’ll get richer. But that wealth will be unsustainable sooner than later
So, is that fascism? Not quite, but it is certainly not the America that you thought you voted for. There are, however, many other indicators that we are indeed moving towards that authoritarian road. And one of those happen to be with the “macho men” who are already overtly stating that women are property, and bragging (falsely) that women’s bodies now belong to the men. And of course, there is no shortage of intimidation growing rampant, especially by those who would be considered the “foot soldiers” and “muscle” of this movement against “communist liberals” (which is not a thing in America by the way).
Understand the Indicators
So, is the USA going into fascism? To answer that question, first let’s find out where we are now in the USA. Let this article become a time capsule to understand what is at stake. How “bad” you had it under Biden, and let’s see how “good” – or bad it gets under Trump. This will be important, because people have very short memories, and when that happens, it is very easy to gaslight those who are not paying attention.
As of November 6, 2024, in the Biden Administration
Stock Market: 43,492
Annual Inflation: 2.2%
Unemployment: 4.1%
Average Gas price: $3.107 per gallon.
I will be adding an updated list on January 6 as the electoral votes are being counted. I don’t foresee any Biden or Harris aligned people planting an insurrection, despite their deep disappointment and sadness for being “stuck” with at least four more years of Trump, when they were hoping they would never have to hear his voice ever again.
I know that the price of groceries seems worse than we hoped for right now. But like it or not it is the best deal so far around the world. COVID, even if you think it was “just a flu” – which it wasn’t, but regardless of it wrecked the entire planet. The USA like the rest of the world was supposed to enter into a recession, yet we are able to have some disposable income. If you are MAGA, and have enough disposable income to buy hats, and shirts, and merch, and even buy Trump’s trinkets and 100,000 USD watches... then you’re not in a “third world country” or a “nation in decline.”
If you paid hundreds of dollars for vulgar merch insulting Biden, Harris, or “the libs” when you were struggling to make ends meet, then you’re just a financially-unsavvy-moron, sorry. You can still show support by voting and not spending money you lack in tings that only made Trump richer, while you struggled. If you had enough money for buying merch, you had enough money for buying eggs. A $45 MAGA hat would have gotten you 9 egg purchases if they were priced at $5. And be honest with yourself, you probably bought a lot more than a hat.
You might not want to hear this if you’re MAGA, but Biden inherited a terrible economy from Trump. It looked like we were doing well under Trump, but we really weren’t – unless you were super rich. The best way to explain to you is as though we were living on a maxed-out credit card during the Trump years, and when Biden took over, the bill came due. That is why it takes long enough to see the problems of this overspending.
Let’s do a quick microcosmos illustrative example
Let’s say that a young man gets his first AMEX credit card, with no spending limit. He can make as many transactions as possible for 10 bucks or a million bucks. All the transactions will be approved. The only catch is that he has to pay in full at the end of the pay period – which is about a month. The young man goes on a shopping spree, buys a fancy car, fancy clothes, fancy watches, fancy dinners, pays for all his friend’s extravagant lifestyles, throws parties, rents an expensive apartment fully furnished with a million-dollar view. Then the bill comes due.
Sure, he lived large, and all his “friends” thought he was super rich for that short time, because he “looked the part” with his fancy clothes, watches, extravagant place, pimped out car, etc. But when the bill came through, everything he already used had to be repaid. So, for that one month of “living large” – now he will have to pay maybe for the rest of his life for these debts, or go to prison, or declare bankruptcy and won’t be able to get credit again probably for the better part of his adult life.
Expand this example over the Trump period, that is what we had. I’m oversimplifying for the sake of the example, but that is why when the bill came due it had to be repaid. In this case Trump’s spending left the bill for Biden. Trump was luckily he lost in 2020 for somebody to clean up the mess, and now he is going to 2025 with a stellar economy. If Trump would have TODAY’s economy, he would be BRAGGING about how good it is. How do I know. Well, let’s compare how Trump started an ended the economy when he took office – then let’s add some context:
Trump Entering Office January 2017
Stock Market: 25,783
Annual Inflation: 1.4%
Unemployment: 4.4%
Average Gas price: $2.4 per gallon.
Trump Leaving Office January 2021
Stock Market: 36,129
Annual Inflation: 2.5%
Unemployment: 8.1%
Average Gas price: $3.10 per gallon.
America, this is the baseline. Let’s see how Trump does this time...
To recap Biden Leaving Office
Stock Market: 43,492
Annual Inflation: 2.2%
Unemployment: 4.1%
Average Gas price: $3.10 per gallon.
Before you jump out to think that this is a great prowess by Trump, you have to remember that Obama who took over in 2009 inherited an economy stock market that was at 11,945. And it does take time to fix a mess of these proportions – the country was essentially F * C K E D after Bush, who in turn inherited a stellar economy from Clinton. Bottom line, if Trump would be finishing his term with Biden’s economy, he would be bragging about how well he is doing.

What did America Elect?
Trump distanced himself from Project 2025 as soon as it became evident this was a very toxic program. Trump (likely falsely) publicly claimed that he didn’t know anything about it and did not even read it. Now all his acolytes are saying that Project 2025 will be the guidelines Trump will follow. Most everyday MAGA folks did not like it, Trump disavowed it, and now he will be using it. Surprise! What else is it that we have to look for the next Trump presidential term? Here, I’ll give you a list so you can see how many of these will come to pass.
If you have not read project 2025, here it is. It’s more than 900 pages, better get started, because coming January 2025 you will have no say against it.
If I’m wrong, I’ll be very happy to be wrong. If I’m right, then you will realize what everybody who voted against Trump having a second term was trying to warn you about. Here is a short, non-all-inclusive list of what non-MAGA (Republicans, Independent and Democrats) where worried about. Let’s see if the Trump administration as 47 proves us wrong on ALL cases.
- Seize power within the federal government.
- Implement a national “backdoor ban” on abortion – without Congress and jail health providers.
- Pack the Supreme Court with MAGA acolytes no matter how extreme.
- End climate projections and gut clean energy programs.
- Reinstate crippling student debt payments.
- Replace non-partisan government employees with politically appointed Trump loyalists.
- Pardon violent January 6 criminal insurrectionists.
- Abolish the department of education.
- Fill his cabinet and key government positions with MAGA people who have special interest groups, or conflicts of interests for those positions.
- Force states to report women’s miscarriages and abortions to Trump’s federal government.
- Repeal protections for LGBTQ+ Americans.
- Reinstate Trumps’ transgender military ban and expel transgender service members.
- Cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy.
- Increase taxes for middle-class families.
- Cut or gut Medicate and Social Security.
- Eliminate union and worker protections.
- Reinstate and expand Trump’s Muslim ban.
- Withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement.
- End the independence of the department of justice and the FBI.
- Turn the Department of Justice and FBI into enforcement arms of the White House.
- Implement and expand book bans.
- Line Big Pharma’s pockets by ending prescription drug price caps for seniors.
- Ban abortion medication.
- Put limits on contraception access.
- Rip away protections for woman’s right to life-savings medical care.
- Go after Marriage equality.
- Put immigrants in mass detention camps.
- Rip immigrant children from the arms of their mothers.
- Repeal Medicare’s ability to negotiate lower drug prices.
- Let employees drastically cut overtime.
- Replace climate advisors with fossil fuel lobbyist.
- Have RFK “run wild” on healthcare, which could include negatively affecting vaccination programs, and water sanitation.
- Give Elon Musk a lot of control over telecommunications, to run it like Twitter.
- Force Ukraine to Surrender.
- Increase Israel’s weapons to conduct strikes into Palestine.
- Become VERY close to Russia, China, and North Korea, while getting some outstanding fight against Iran.
- Become aggressive against NATO or end the participation in the alliance.
- Rise in misogynistic rhetoric by “alpha males” who feel women are their property will not be challenged.
- Placating to toxic masculinity as the norm.
- Increase use of his hotels and resorts to host foreign dignitaries, regardless of if that money goes to his own pockets.
- Use Air Force One to go to play golf several times a year at his various properties and charge premium prices for the secret service to stay at his resorts.
- Censor any media outlet, mainstream, independent, or otherwise – should they say anything critical of him.
- Impose a Christian Nationalist theocracy, and this will include imposing ONE denomination type over all Christianity to be the “official” religious standard, and systematically prosecute any denomination or other religious doctrine that disagrees with his choice.
- Will not concede if he loses in 2028.
- Add vigilantes all around the country. The requirement will be to pledge loyalty over skill or qualification.
- The economy will tank, will blame it on somebody else.
- The tariffs will increase the cost of goods and services, to include eggs and gas.
- Will fire (or worse) any person in his orbit who is not a “yes man or woman.”
- Will prosecute all his perceived enemies, to include those who were tasked with investigating and prosecuting him for his 100+ federal crimes. This could include also political opposition (former and incumbent). That is despite of whether the ongoing process halts, because he will be taking office soon.
- Retaliate against New York for the 34 felony charges and conviction. He will make those charges disappear.
- Reverse all civil trials for rape and fraud in New York.
- Go after all those high-profile celebrities and influencers who were critical of him during the campaign trail, and who spoke bad about him.
- Pardon all those in his orbit who had criminal records related to his involvement while in office.
- Use his immunity clause granted by the Supreme Court anytime he does something that would be considered illegally controversial.
- Direct acolytes in Congress to conduct hearing and investigations on all political opponents.
- There will be a wider level of discrimination to anybody who happens to have a “foreign” accent or looks foreign under his metric. This metric will get more stringent.
- Will use police retaliation, or the National Guard, or Military Forces against any protest, no matter how peaceful.
- He will have domestic informants on any assembly of people who are talking against him. This will include surveilling former MAGA voters who are unhappy with their vote decision.
I can go on… but anyway, if NONE of this happens, well, that would be great. If ONE of these would happen, then already he is a lot more authoritarian than Biden ever was.
America, like it or not the majority chose a man who has 90+ criminal charges, is a convicted felon, an adjudicated rapist, an adjudicated fraudster, who was twice impeached, who gives childish insulting-nicknames to all his opponents, who has a limited vocabulary, who scares the sh*t out of the rest of the planet (fear does not equal respect), who has openly cozied up to regimes who are openly adversary to the USA, etc. Yet that all was better than Kamala Harris (for Trump’s voters) – I guess.
Remember America, you don’t get what you deserve… you get what you negotiate. You made your bet, and the majority of you elected Trump. You knew what it was like during his last presidency, maybe you liked it. Maybe you did not like Kamala because she is a woman, of foreign heritage, and of color… despite the fact she was highly qualified and ready to lead this nation. Most of you disagreed.
But although we can agree to disagree on our political leanings, my concern is for the future of my daughter. I have a pre-teen daughter, and at the same time people who were on stage with Trump or are part of his orbit are saying incendiary things to women such as “your body, my choice.” And he is not alone, there are people openly calling women property, and advocating for slavery. This is America today.
We have until January before our first amendment right risks of remaining intact. After that we’ll be walking on eggshells. Jimmy Kimbel put it best, "It was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him, and guess what? It was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too. You just don't realize it yet."
I’ll end today by saying again… I truly hope I am wrong about this. Like it or not, America has spoken, and the transition of power will happen peacefully towards Trump - again, although he did not extend the same courtesy to Biden. For the first time ever in our history, the incoming and off-going president were not standing on the same stage for the peaceful transfer of power in 2021. But once again Trump will be welcomed in 2025, like he was welcomed by the very process he disparaged in 2017. Let that sink in for a second.
I realize that the majority of Americans do not follow politics, or don’t understand it. They are more interested in their own lives, and the subtleties about how important these political intricated factors are remaining an obscure matter they care very little about. But they fail to understand that it affects their lives and the lives of many generations to come. We are about to enter under the purview of Project 2025, which most people have never read it.
Read project 2025 following this link.
However, ignorance for the subject does not relieve you from your responsibility. You voted, you made a choice FOR ALL AMERICANS, and by extension the world, because America is the world leader – for now. If you start seeing any warnings signs that I listed, I hope you own up to them. And guess what, you won’t be tolerated to insult the Trump’s White House Facebook page (or any Trump or MAGA social media for that matter) like you did when Biden was in office – unless you are ok with the harsh punitive measures that will likely follow under a Trump administration – although you never had to worry about that under Biden. That was also part of your choice. HLC
